The introduction of particle counting for PTI is being implemented by some European countries. COSBER has developed a reliable and fast solution to efficiently measure particle number concentration. The C-EPC70 uses the Extended Diffusion Charging measurement principle.
The particle counter meets the requirements for measuring the particle number concentration set by the laws passed in the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland. Further approvals are in preparation.
CHARACTERISTICS
Easy integration
The C-EPC70 can be integrated into all COSBER emission testers.
It can be used in addition to the emissions test and opacimeter functions or as a standalone unit.
Simple maintenance
The measurement takes less than 30 seconds at idle.
No need for acceleration, which is polluting, noisy and stressful for engines and operators.
Economical and sustainable
The C-PN uses the ExtDC measuring principle without sooting. The continuous design keeps the sensor clean for longer service life.

Explanation EXTENDED DIFFUSION CHARGING
Reliability and repeatability
ExTDC consists of the electrical charging of the particles through the diffusion of a high density of ions (positive) generated in an ionization chamber by the corona effect.
