The air diffuser, made of high-density polyester foamed sponge, since long time it is used to oxygenate and aerate sewage in waste water treatment plant. The diffusers are normally installed on the bottom of the tanks and connected to the distribution network of the blowers or air compressors. The air delivered through the diffusers spreads through the foamed sponge material giving rise to medium-to-small bubbles with a diameter of 2 to 6 mm., thus ensuring an excellent oxygen exchange and sewage mixing.
