The solid material with an high water content , flows into the hopper and decant in the trough.
The first water flow immediately out from some holes located in the bottom of the trough, then the material start to go up to the top of compactor.
The thick screw, with a slow rotation, move the material to the top of the trough. Already during this rotation the solids lost a part of their content of water. At the top side of the trough, before to be push out, the material is compressed by a door, which has a variable rate of compression.
At this point, the squeeze-dried material (that has a water content of about 60%) goes into suitable containers.
The water flowed out from holes of low and superior part of trough is collected in a small tank and then forwarded for any conditioning treatment.
