Applications
for sludge treatment

Description

Thickener is installed in tanks with circular shape and is used to thicken and prepare sludges coming from decanters, for their next treatment (pressing, centrifuging, etc.). All this is achieved by pickets that, moving very slowly, permit to eject the air still present in the sludge. The slow rotation of bottom scrapers, permits to convey the settled sludge inside the central pit, from where it is discharged. Water present in surface overflows from a suitable profile and is collected and discharged by peripheral canal. The slow rotation of thickner is made by an epicycloidal gearmotor coupled to the central shaft, which is kept in its correct location by a lower centering. Machine is composed by a motorization with direct coupling and dynamometric device. For models with tank diameter bigger than 14 m the motorization is equipped with fifth wheel and pinion. A central shaft coupled to motorization and kept in axis by a centering located on bottom of tank. A series of lateral arms and tie-rods in stainless steel, fixed to shaft with an adjustable system, with function to support bottom scrapers and pickets. A series of bottom scrapers fixed to lateral arms with an adjustable system of inclination and position. A series of mixing pickets fixed to lateral arms with an adjustable “bayonet” system. A central diffuser cylinder made in hot galvanized steel. A Thomson profile complete of brackets and fixing bolts in stainless steel.
