Because of their simple geometry, deep groove ball bearings are very versatile, robust and economical. They can generally carry only radial loads with small axial components.
General Features
They can be made in many variations:
Shielded with grease (for life);
Open without grease;
Lubricated directly in the machine with oil or grease.
In addition, they can be produced with various types of cages: brass, steel, plastic or, depending on the requirements of use, full-fill (without a cage).
In special cases, ceramic balls can be adopted.
In the cage version they can withstand high speeds of rotation. Depending on technical requirements they can have special coatings, e.g., chrome, phosphating, galvanizing or black oxide.
Materials
In most cases they are made of typical chromium steel for full hardening bearings or from case hardening. For special application requirements they can be made of stainless steel.
Main Applications
Marble cutting, electric motors, textile looms, bicycles.
