Cylindrical roller bearings or needle roller bearings can be single- or multi-row, full complement or caged. General Features Roller and needle roller bearings can withstand only radial loads, even very strong ones, with moderate rotational speeds. To make maximum use of the available space, cylindrical roller bearings with one or more full-fill crowns are made. In the cage variant they can withstand very high loads and operate at high speeds. Depending on technical requirements, they can have special coatings, e.g., chrome, phosphating, galvanizing, or black oxide.
