The complex lens are glued from two or three different glass, crown glass and flint galss. It is also called achromatic lens. The achromatic dual-glue lens is a kind of chromatic aberration lens which is bonded by the low dispersion coronation glass positive lens and the high dispersion flint glass negative lens. During design process, at three wavelengths of blue ( 486.1nm ), green ( 546.1nm ) and red ( 656.3nm ), the dispersion of different values and lens shapes is optimized to achieve a minimum chromatic aberration. Such achromatic lenses can be used throughout the visible light region. Their ability of producing sharper images is superior to that of the single slement lens.
Creator Optics ( CNCO ) can custom various complex lenses / achromatic lenses. Usually a double glued lens.
Double glued lens is a closely spaced and often cemented, combination of positive and negative elements of different refractive index. These elements are closen so that the chromatic aberration is cancelled at two distinct and well-separated wavelengths. Before glued, all single lenses can be coated customized anti-reflective coating.
