The Pilote LPCCPLS15 freeze dryer was developed to offer maximum lyophilization surface in a minimal footprint for installation in a room crowded with equipment. It was designed to facilitate maintenance. It offers a usable surface of 1.5 m², big enough to handle test lots sufficiently large to be representative of the characteristics of production quantities. The LPCCPLS was also conceived for easy cleaning of the trap and the sublimation chamber. The trap of the Pilote LPCCPLS15 freeze dryer is separate from the sublimation chamber. The chamber and the trap are linked by a short, tubular DN100 mm valve with a pneumatic DN100 mm butterfly valve, which closes if the power fails. This valve was designed to reduce leakage from one side to the other or to the outside. An air-cooled condenser removes the heat isolated by the cooling circuit without need for cooling water. Smooth -85°C smooth trap or internal coil. Active hot gas defrosting. Capacitive (MKS Baratron) and Pirani vacuum measurement. Comparing the two makes for efficient end-of-cycle assessment. Possibility of separate cooling for the shelves.
