The Spider-NAS (Network Attached Storage) is a dedicated network storage device designed to provide high performance data recording for Crystal Instruments hardware modules. Compatible front-ends include the Spider-80X, Spider-81, Spider-80SG, and Spider-80Ti.
Features Removable Hard Disk
The Spider-NAS features a high-performance 2.5 inch removable solid-state drive as storage media. Each Spider-NAS is shipped with a 250 GB solid-state drive that can be upgraded to 2 TB. Users have the option of attaching a second drive for additional storage.
Data Recording Performance
The Spider-NAS records data in the NTFS file format. The data is transferred to a PC by using Crystal Instruments’ EDM software or by removing the solid-state drive and connecting the drive to a PC.
The Spider-NAS features 8 high-speed data buses which interface with each compatible front-end. Each dedicated data port can reach a theoretical speed of 480 Mb/second. When operating, the Spider-NAS stores data simultaneously for all dynamic measurement channels at 256 kHz sampling rate.
