The NEMA 4X (IP66) sealed KIO7XU6 Series hygienic keyboard is a fully enclosed Plug-n-Play keyboard that is offered to Systems Integrators and Commercial End Users. Yet compact, it retains 90 full size keys with 101/104 key functionality, a numeric keypad, and the low profile patented Orbital Mouse® button style "drift free" mouse pointer. The heavy duty PCB, strengthened by two stiffeners, has layered thick "hard gold" contacts and when combined with the white FDA silicone elastomer which has molded "hard carbon" pill contacts has been proven to provide more than 10 years of reliable, maintenance free, service. The white FDA silicone elastomer with its 2mm key travel provides excellent tactile feel, but most impressive is the impermeable molecular barrier sealing protection obtained from a Parylene C conformal coating process. This miniature hygienic keyboard repels infectious pathogens or carcinogenic compounds so that proper decontamination, sanitization, or sterilization procedures can easily remove. These Plug-n-Play compact hygienic keyboards are sealed (water resistant) in the finest grade of stainless steel or anodized aluminum. The metal enclosure employs a gasket sealed bottom plate which has two stainless steel threaded inserts for mounting to a surface. The 9.5 foot USB cable is secured through a specially designed white PVC strain relief which is Parylene C coated. Optionally, a USB bulkhead cable is available if the USB port is behind a panel or cabinet. The Parylene C coated medical mouse is a perfect no-drift alternative to capacitive sensitive touchpad's or trackpad's, in a sleek low-profile, smart design.
