Where speed is required, heat can become a problem. High-performance processors produce as much heat as a kitchen stove. This is where our liquid cooling systems with a closed cooling circuit are used: They constitute the highest performance class of the active cooling solutions. Mounted directly at the hot spot, they quickly dissipate more heat than any other cooling system.
Typical applications are electronic systems with very high power density, including battery management systems in electric vehicles, medical technology and renewable energy technologies, as well as railway technology and high-voltage inverters.
Benefit from our cooling systems of the topmost performance class! We will be glad to make you an offer
Aluminum, copper, stainless steel
The classic liquid heat sink consists of an aluminum cooling plate with embedded tubes made of copper, which is easy to work with and is an excellent thermal conductor. Tubes can also be made of stainless steel or aluminum, although their heat dissipation capacity is not as good. Typical coolants are water, glycol, oil or alcohol; in special cases, gases are also used.
However, there are also liquid heat sinks that have no copper or stainless steel tubes. These include liquid coolers with milled cooling channels, in which the top and bottom of the cooling plate are joined by means of friction stir welding. Cooling plates with drilled cooling channels (deep hole drilling) and liquid heat sinks manufactured by means of extrusion require no additional tubes.
In the case of very high heat in applications where price and weight are of secondary importance, liquid heat sinks can also be manufactured completely of copper.
