The FD40, type EPCT Fire Controller is a full service, part winding reduced voltage controller. A part winding fire pump controller reduces the starting current by up to 40% while maintaining up to 50% motor starting torque. The FD40 is the most economical method of reduced voltage starting, how-ever, requires a special motor wound for part winding starting.
