Description

The TA-Tronic 2 heads are the new and more performing release of the TA-Tronic boring and facing heads. These heads are designed to be applied on small boring machines, machining centers, and special machines. The integrated servomotor, connected to the CN, manages the toolholder slide movement. The TA-Tronic 2 is mounted on the machine using an arbor. The anti-rotation pin, inserted in the dowel locked on the head of the machine tool, prevents the fixed body of the head to rotate. For heavy machining it’s advisable to apply a flange to make the TA-Tronic 2 solidly connected with the head of the machine tool. The servomotor, integrated and connected to the “U” axis of the machine numerical control, allows to hit several different features such as internal and external turning, grooves, taper bores even variable, concave and convex radius operations, cylindrical and conical threads and facing for serration. COOLANT SUPPLY Coolant come out of two adjustable nozzles located next to the slide after crossing the taper and the rotating body of the head. This remarkable advantage ensures longer life of the cutting edge, faster cutting speed and better surface finishing. The centralized coolant way doesn’t damage the TA-T2 whose internal labyrinth are protected by O-ring. It’s recommended to not exceed 50 BAR pressure. BALANCING The TA-T2 heads have been designed with two counter-weights for automatic balancing, which move opposite to the slide allowing to machine higher numbers of RPM without appreciable oscillations.
