Description

Simple structure A roller chain coupling consists of one duplex roller chain and two sprockets for a simplex chain. Handling is very simple as both the shafts (driving shaft and driven shaft) can be connected and disconnected by inserting or removing connecting pins (cotter type). Easy alignment Owing to the play between the respective components of the chain and the play between the roller chain and the sprockets, the eccentricity and angle error can be generally allowed as follows: Small but powerful Since a powerful roller chain is engaged with the sprockets at all the teeth, a large torque can be transmitted, though the coupling itself is smaller than other kinds of couplings.
