Description

Daido Metal is a longtime manufacturer of engine bearings used inthe highest levels of international motorsports. With nearly 80 years of experience, Daido bearings have chalked up victories in F1, Moto GP, World Endurance, World Rally, Motocross, INDYCAR, and NASCAR. These accomplishments have resulted from the highest levels of bearing performance, quality and reliability in the racing industry and cutting edge new production technologies. Unique floating washers de-couple the thrust and journal surfaces. • Washers are free to align square to block and crank surfaces. • Si-Al bi-metal resists seizure better than un-plated bronze. • Ramp & Pad design increases thrust capacity by ~20%. • Separate washer processing assures optimum flatness and thickness control. MULTI-BORING Significantly reduces oil leakage by eliminating conventional crush relief while maintaining optimal eccentricity and protecting against housing deformation or cap shift. • Allows engine builders and designers to reduce parasitic loss and increase oil supply to the connecting rod. DE-LUG Removes the leak path of the conventional lug by moving the pressing direction to the parting line face. DE-CRESCENT Shortened groove length avoids feeding oil to higher clearance areas around the eccentricity and parting-line. (not available on all applications) LEAD-INDIUM TRI-METAL Pb-In based overlay plated onto Cu-Pb-Sn bi-metal has a superior combination of conformability and strength.
