The DAT 3024 device is normally used for the generation of up to 4 output analog signals from digital commands, using MODBUS RTU/ASCII protocol on the RS-485 network (or RS-232) for data transfer. It is capable of generating voltage signals up to 10 V and current signals up to 20 mA (active and passive loops). It offers a very high accuracy, as it uses a 16 bit converter as well as highly reliable measure versus time and temperature, providing added installation safety via 2 Watch-Dog timer alarms. It is enclosed in a rough self-extinguishing plastic container with a small 17.5 mm profile (for high density mounting) and eliminates ground-loop effects, by using the 2000 Vac isolation between input, power supply and serial line, permitting use in demanding environmental conditions. Additionally, this model is in full compliance with the Directive 2004/108/EC on the electromagnetic compatibility.
