The WA type plugs are longer than the WR and, to ensure full-length insertion, the distance from the end of the pipe down to the seal ring must be greater. The WA design makes it universal protection for both PE and PVC pipes. WA and WR products have ventilation holes for releasing pressure from inside the closed pipe.
