During installation, the rivet body splits into 4 legs and the mandrel head is ejected. The GOSTAR line is specifically designed to fasten soft or thin materials (e.g. plastic, wood, resin, thin metal sheets...). ln the "T" version, the mandrel head is retained after installation to obtain excellent shear strength. Leak-proof treatment upon request. This rivet is recommended in a damp or corrosive environment. Benefit 1: This 4.8mm diameter rivet works with application drilling between 5.8 and 6.0mm, while more conventional rivets are limited to a maximum drilling of 5.0mm. If the application is already pre-drilled with too large hole diameters, Gostar Inox may be the solution. Benefit 2: when one of the materials to be assembled is stainless steel, the Gostar Inox will generate a reduced electrolytic torque, compared to other aluminum rivets.
