D.Electron, in collaboration with the leading Italian motor manufacturers, is able to supply complete CNC packages, optional drives and brushless axis motors. The DSM series of brushless servomotors have been conceived to provide a cutting-edge solution, characterized by a uniform design, for the functioning of the most modern chip-removal machine tools, with maximum control bandwidth. With the fully digital control of the Z-Star2 drive and Slim Systems, and the encoder integrated into the motor, the DSM motors meet the highest demands in terms of dynamics, speed setting, rotation and positioning accuracy. The DSM motors can reach the highest rotation uniformity achievable today, by overcoming the limits of the mechanical transmissions and allowing for a wide range of direct drive applications, thanks to the rotor high inertia. The DSM series consist of 6 sizes: DSM2x, DSM3x, DSM4x, DSM5x, DSM6x, DSM7x and compact DSM. The continuous torques available vary from 0.7Nm to 230Nm, the flanges vary from 60x60mm to 260x260mm. A servo-ventilated mantle version capable of supplying +30% of continuous torque or a liquid-cooling version are available on request.
