Description

Perfect for high performance small and medium sized machines Compact size Simple wiring Suitable for axes (brushless, linear, torque motors) and spindles (asynchronous, synchronous flux-weakened) For these modules, the main difference with respect to the ZStar2 system is that the optical fiber and the low voltage power supply have been replaced by the Slim Link. Furthermore, a 24Vdc output has been introduced to control a motor brake. The enabling and feedback connectors remain unchanged as well as the STO safety function. Main features: Power supply available in two sizes: 20A/11kW, 40A/22kW (continuous running duty S1) Dual standard encoder inputs on each drive: one for the motor transducer, one for the optional position transducer Supported encoders: SinCos, TTL, EnDat, Biss, Resolver, Hiperface. The choice of the type of encoder is done via software and can be modified at any time, without the need for hardware configurations Integrated engine brake management Integrated STO safety function The power supply system with resistor braking consists of the SDA power supply module only. From the 400 V ±10% 50 Hz / 60 Hz mains voltage, the SDA power supply modules generate the direct voltage of the DC bus at 560 V for the intermediate circuit. The SDA modules have an internal braking resistor sufficient for the general use on axes motors. If the SDP modules connected to the SDA module in question command heavy and/or very fast loads, with high kinetic energy and acceleration, it will also be necessary to use an external braking resistor. The external braking resistor is usually always required for a spindle motor.
