Crop Vision CV3000 has been designed by DELTA as an exceptionally cost-effective Vision System which can be installed at the delivery side of a roughing mill. It can form part of an existing Crop Shear Control System. Hot Strip Mills rely on the crop shear practice as a way to avoid cobbles and steering problems in the finishing stands. If the front end is not cropped squarely, the Steckel Rolling operation for all coiled plate products becomes difficult. There are also considerable delays and loss of production as a result of problems with steering and cobbles.
