NON-SPARKING TOOLS WORK IN EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERES
The main danger when working with metal tools in an explosive atmosphere is the production of sparks following rubbing or physical shocks to which the tool is subjected.
The solution of using blue coated tools is not suited for striking tools (hammers, picks, chisels, etc).
For this work we offer a range of non-sparking tools.
They are made of Aluminum Bronze alloy (Al-Br) or a Copper Beryllium alloy (Be-Cu).
The non-sparking characteristic means that these alloys produce, in contact with materials, sparks with a lower energy level than the minimum
energy required for the ignition of the air + gas mix.
However, even when these non-sparking tools are used, other safety measures must always be taken.
Model BA: Aluminium bronze.
Model CB: Copper Beryllium
