Dual-energy X-ray detection enables material discrimination for applications like security screening, material sorting, and bone densitometry. Detector modules may be used individually or daisy-chained to create longer arrays, and the data acquisition system may be provided by the customer or us. Take as an example the L series, a complete, ready to integrate solution utilizing the X-Card DE including data acquisition system and software. Pixel pitches of 0.8, 1.5, 1.6 and 2.5 mm are available with scintillator options to suit a wide range of applications with X-ray energies optimized from 140 to 200kVp. A single energy version, X-Card SE, is available for applications not requiring material discrimination.
