Interface ASIC

X-ASIC Q32A is a multichannel ASIC providing a high performance, cost efficient solution for photodiode interfacing. The ASIC provides a simple interface with differential video signal output and a minimal number of digital control signals. An ideal device for baggage scanners, air cargo inspection, vehicle screening and various industrial applications. Preamplifier ASICs can be customized according to customer needs. Comes with a simplified operation principle. The electrical current from a photodiode array is integrated by charge amplifiers (one for each pixel). The voltage output from the charge amplifiers is sampled at the same time for all pixels. The sampled voltage value is then read out in serial mode, controlled by an internal shift register.
