FALLING FILM EVAPORATOR Gentle separation with minimum investment Gentle separation with minimum investment The product feed enters through the top and the, via a distribution system, is equally distributed to each of the tubes. The liquid film moves downward due to the effect of gravity, during the fall through the tubes the volatile fraction is evaporated and leaves the equipment through the top or the bottom, depending on the equipment configuration. ADVANTAGES Low residence time – Minimal residence time. Minimal investment. Suitable for multiple effect evaporation or mechanical vapor recompression to reduce energy costs.
