The service offered includes the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the components of a gas mixture in the range of 0 to 15 % (accuracy depending on the substances to be analysed).
Measuring principle: For the Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR spectroscopy) the characteristic oscillations of the individual gases are excited simultaneously to obtain a characteristic spectrum by mathematical operation.
Preparation of the gas sample: Not necessary
Measuring method: Recording of an FT-IR spectrum, quantitative determination of selected substances
Standard processing time: 2 - 4 weeks
Measuring mode 1: Decomposition/by-products of sulphur hexafluoride
Measuring mode 2: Alternative Insulating Gas mixtures to SF6 based on C4-FN
Accuracy: ≤ 1 ppm, depending on substance and measuring range
Pressure of gas sample: Min. 2 bar in 1 l gas cylinder or 1.5 bar in 2 l gas cylinder.
Standard processing time: 2 - 4 weeks
Evaluation: For each measurement, an evaluation of the composition of the measured gas sample is prepared by DILO specialists.
