The KOS1600B is a bridge amplifier that uses strain gauges or load cell signals. The device scales the input signal to a process value. The output stage provides voltage, bipolar voltage or active/passive current re-transmission signals. The device operates on a 10 to 48VAC range. This makes the device suited for battery operation. Using a remote switch, a volt-free contact input is available.
The unit has two front panel push buttons. They can be configured to perform one of its two functions. The function 1 allows the user to configure the output range at a high and low scale. The function 2 allows the operator to trim the output on a high and low scale.
To achieve a high stability, the device uses a ratio metric measurement.
