Latching, interface and switching relays form the ideal connecting links between the low-power logic circuitry and highly sensitive circuitry of a process computer or PLC control system. It also works this way for the raw environment of the power level on machines like a motor drive, hydraulic cylinder or magnetic clutch. Metallic isolation between power circuitry and logic is achieved using the relay.
Bistable devices, or latching relays and mono-stable devices, or interface or switching relays are distinct from each other. Mono-stable devices such as as power/industrial relays are available up to 16 A with a pin base and also a socket for top hat rail mounting. It can also be a total solution for installation within switch cabinets and also distribution boards.
