Top-insulated construction of a loft ladder with 2 sealing strips in the casing. Trapdoor (without wood), which means that heat loss and cold bridges are prevented from the loft ladder. FSC® certified wood. Produced in Denmark. White casing. The loft ladder is manufactured with top-insulation. Two sealing strips in the casing and a trapdoor construction without wood prevent heat loss. The 2 sealing strips provide an extra tightness, which means, among other things, that the loft ladder have no cold bridges. It provides a good saving on the heating bill compared to traditional loft ladders. DOLLE clickFIX® 56 PRO+ is insulated with 50 mm expanded polystyrene (EPS) standard U-value: 0.64 W/m2*K. The low u-value is particularly remarkable, as all the products have been tested as a building component similar to doors and windows. Usually, u-value indications are given as a calculated center value for the trapdoor, which is misleading in connection with energy calculations. The loft ladder have been tested at the IFT Rosenheim Institute for both U-value and air tightness.
