These particular types of palletizers are built specifically for palletizing bottles and can achieve work rates unimaginable for manual palletizing. From the construction point of view, these palletizing machines are divided into layering bottle palletizers and robotic bottle palletizers. In the case of layering bottle palletizer, an entire layer of bottles is pre-formed on a special surface (preformation table) and then the layer of bottles is stacked on the pallet. Taking advantage of the high speed modern robots can work at and of the special grippers for picking the bottles (for example with devices for the quincequonce of rows), it is possible to eliminate pre-forming the layer of bottles, with countless advantages in terms of the performance and flexibility of the palletizing system. Usually, the gripper of a robotic bottle palletizer is also equipped with devices that allow the handling of pallets and packing materials (slipsheets, caps, etc.). The robotic bottle palletizer is also proposed as an alternative to traditional bottle palletizers in cases where the space in the plant is limited: a palletizer robot is less bulky than a traditional bottle palletizer.
