Description

Line bushings are commonly used to seal an electrical junction in hazardous locations transmitting power or signal. The line bushing protects against the penetration of hazardous liquids and gases within the explosive or hazardous environment. Douglas Electrical Components manufactures our 57754 series sealed line bushings certified for ATEX and IECEx ratings for flameproof enclosure “d” ratings. Customers can combine a variety of mechanical and electrical interfaces within the 57754 assembly to create a sealed, rated line bushing. Various standard thread combinations on either side of the line bushing feedthrough simplify installation. The threads are available in a variety of materials, depending on the cost and environment of the application. Electrically, various wire sizes and types can be combined to create a high-density line bushing. Available with up to 107 conductors in a single line bushing, Douglas seals each conductor individually to ensure a hermetic rating. The conductors are all electrically tested at our factory to ensure operation. Additionally, all assemblies are 100% pressure tested to ensure a seal, minimizing your factory or field testing. Incorporate any cable or wire type that meets the IEC 60079 standards to match existing components or increase your design flexibility on new designs. STANDARDS: The equipment and any acceptable variations to it specified in the schedule of this certificate and the identified documents, was found to comply with the following standards IEC 60079-0:2017 Edition: 7.0 – Explosive atmospheres – Part 0: Equipment – General requirements
