peek is solid, stiff, hard, has high heat resistance, good resistance to chemical substances and inherently low flammability and low smoke emission during burning. peek is light amber in colour and usually semi-crystalline and opaque. In thin films peek is usually amorphous and transparent. peek has good wear resistance, good resistance to dynamic loads and radiation, but is difficult to process and very expensive. Filled grades, including those for mechanical bearing applications, can also be used.
Application:
peek is used for flexible blanks (foils), fibres and single threads, injection moulded machine parts as well as parts used in space travel and in high-radiation environments.
Delivery forms:
peek is supplied cut to size. On request, we can also supply individual blanks, as well as punched or laser cut parts. If your desired dimension is not available, please send us an inquiry.
