Description

TER model rotary magnetic drums are used in productions where there is a high contamination of ferrous metals to separate them from the production process in an automatic way. They are usually placed at the outlet of vibrating feeders, chutes, conveyor belts, etc., so that the product is poured over the drum and separates the contaminating ferrous metals. It can also be manufactured with a bodywork system, provided with a feed mouth with adjustable inlet dosing and two outlets: one for the clean product and the other for all the ferrous metals. Its construction consists of only half of the 360º of the drum containing magnets, which can be of ferrite or neodymium quality, this magnetic field is mobile around the entire circumference of the drum, it is oriented according to the feed and/or application of the drum and is fixed with a tightening key. It has a small motor gear that rotates the external jacket, which is fitted lengthwise with slats whose function is to accompany the ferrous material trapped by the drum to leave the magnetic field and separate the product. It is usually applied in sectors such as: recycling, wood, bulk foodstuffs, rubber, etc. CE certified according to current directives and regulations.
