Main features of Dredge Yard’s standard Cutter Suction Dredgers are:
Dismountable pontoons. Small dredgers in the range of CSD350 and CSD400 have 3 dismountable pontoons while the bigger one CSD450 up to CSD560 have 5 pontoons.
Dredge pump installed inboard and directly driven by diesel engine through a reduction gearbox. The pump is mounted on a heavy duty bearing block. Submerged pump can be supplied as an option.
Cutter head is hydraulic driven. Electric drive through reduction gearbox and long shaft with intermediate bearings is optional. Also different power ratings are available.
Two anchor booms are provided in the front of the cutter suction dredger for relocating the anchors during dredge and mining operations.
Each dredger is equipped with five winches. One winch for hoisting the cutter ladder. Two winches for the side pull and two winches for hoisting the anchor. The side pull winches are mounted on the front of the main pontoon. The wires are led through sheaves in the sheave tumblers assembled on the ladder front to the anchors.
Two dredge spuds are provided at the back of dredger for positioning the dredger during operation. Two hydraulic cylinders are mounted on the deck for hoisting the cylinder. Optionally spud carrier can be assembled on existing dredger.
