Description

The dsound® USS5-LS-E airborne sound sensor is a universal sound sensor with RMS and peak value control and is used for frequency-selective level monitoring of airborne sound in industrial environments. The areas of application are machine, system and tool monitoring (hissing, whistling, noise, grinding, humming, booming, banging) as well as the monitoring of assembly processes (latching, snapping) and material breakage (cracking, tearing). It is compact, robust and easy to use. It can be used to precisely detect and evaluate sound level changes in a frequency range from 30 Hz to 32 kHz in real time. Technical data • for airborne sound signals between 30 Hz and 32 kHz • powerful integrated real-time signal processing and evaluation by means of digital signal controller • noise suppression by precalculated bandwidth filters • sensor configuration and parameterization via integrated operation by button or via PC program • power supply: 10…30 VDC • 1 synchronization input • 1 potential-free switching output for further processing of the sound recognition results • robust, compact stainless steel housing M18 x 130mm (degree of protection IP67) • temperature range: -15°C to +50°C Areas of application • Machine, system and tool monitoring • Monitoring of assembly processes • Material breakage detection
