Description
Water hammer phenomenon is a pressure surge or wave caused when a fluid, usually a liquid but sometimes also a gas, in motion is forced to stop or change direction suddenly. This phenomenon commonly occurs when a valve closes suddenly at an end of a pipeline system, and a pressure wave propagates in the pipe. DC brushless motor equipped actuator can be used to lighten water hammer phenomenon when closing valve, Because DC brushless motor start from a very low speed with large torque, and gradually accelerate to normal speed. This can also reduce start-up current to extend life span.
Dehumidify heater is optional to protect actuator against condensation. Actuators are Actuators are tested to rigorous UL and CSA standards and certified by CSA.
