The Dytran model 3316M3 represents an ultra high temperature piezoelectric charge mode accelerometer specially designed with Dytran patented features to operate in high temperatures of up to +1000°F (+538°C). The device features a unique single crystal charge mode sensing element that is mounted in a hermetically sealed, miniature Inconel™ housing. The model model works on the latest in planar shear technology.
The "silver window" on the accelerometer housing's top cover provides oxygen access to the crystal at high temperatures and maintains the unit's hermetic sealing. The 5 grams and 0.39 inches (9.8 millimeters) height model is highly suitable for locations inaccessible to other types of accelerometers. The model offers a sensitivity between 1 and 2 pC/g and a 10,000 Hz and a 10,000 Hz upper frequency response.
