Description

The Dytran model 3079A is an IEPE accelerometer which is specially suited for Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS). Based on a piezoelectric design, it has a sensitivity of 10 mV/g and can offer a frequency response of 1.1 to 5,000 Hz. Durable yet lightweight, it comes enclosed in a strong stainless steel housing, with a total weight of just 11 grams. Its inbuilt mounting bracket makes installation simple and brings down mounting costs, while helping it to function better. The small device is located just where the the cable and bracket meet, so that the overall mass is reduced. It is sealed inside the housing hermetically so that it operates reliably even in atmospheres with high dirt and humidity. The case also offers electrical isolation to prevent interference from EMI/ground loop interference. In comparison to standard sensors and mounting brackets, model 3079A offers unbeatable compactness with high performance.
