MP Eagle have designed and developed a unique direct LED replacement for the 35W, 55W, 90W, 135W and 180W SOX lamps and with similar dimensions to the original SOX bulb thus allowing for trouble-free retro-fit. By simply removing the ballast and fitting our SOXLED bulb into the existing head you benefit from lower power consumption, long life and therefore lower maintenance costs. The extruded aluminium heatsink ensures adequate cooling when used in enclosed fittings. The robust PC cover protects the LED chips from damage during transport and installation. The lamp should only be installed in fittings of IP65 or greater if used outdoors. A surge protection device (SPD) of 10kV or greater should also be installed in the luminaire to prevent damage from lightning and other surges. Magnatech can supply a suitable device at extra cost. Also available in'Dark Sky' version with CCT of 2000K and 1% blue light content which has been reported to be more wildlife friendly than standard LED lighting
