It provides EMI/RFI and environmental protection. Caps are metallic and can be plated with many types of conductive coatings. All the caps integrate a gasket to completely seal and protect your connector from harsh environments. A gasket made of conductive rubber will be preferred to reinforce the EMI/RFI protection. Caps can be ordered with various interfaces for bayonet and threaded coupling. Both American and European standards are covered, such as D38999, M26482, EN2997, EN3645, M5015, etc. The gasket can be made of standard non-conductive silicone, neoprene, fluorosilicone or EPDM. For high EMI/RFI requirements, conductive gaskets are proposed. Mil standard link chains with retaining ring or eyelet are available. Other attachments such as wire rope, nylon cord in different colors and dimensions can also be ordered. Attachment solutions prevent caps from being lost.
