Description

An achromatic cylindrical lens can minimize chromatic aberration, so it can be used to focus a single direction of a multi-color light beam. Unlike a spherical lens that produces a point-focusing spot, an achromatic cylindrical lens can produce a linear focusing spot. Our cylindrical achromatic doublets are pre-installed in a Ø1" housing for ease of use. The housing is engraved with the part number, the range of the increased projection film, the focal length, the arrow indicating the direction the lens should face when the quasi-linear light source, and the infinity symbol indicating that the lens has an infinite conjugate ratio. As one of the professional optical components companies, Ecoptik (also known as BRD Optical) can provide various achromatic cylindrical lenses. Description Of Achromatic Cemented Cylindrical Lens Achromatic Cylindrical Lenses are used to minimize or eliminate chromatic aberration. The achromatic design also helps minimize spherical aberrations. Achromatic Cylindrical Lenses are ideal for a range of applications, including fluorescence microscopy, image relay, inspection, or spectroscopy. An Achromatic Cylindrical Lens, which is often designed by either cementing two elements together or mounting the two elements in a housing, creates smaller spot sizes than comparable singlet lenses.
