Description
Fibre opticals made of glass or plastic are used to transport the light from the sensor to the target and back.Fibre opticals are especially suited for space-limited applications or for diffucult environmental conditions e.g. high temperature applications.Fibre otic sensors come as opposed, retro-reflective and diffuse mode types.
The sensing range largely depends on the quality of the fibre optic cable. Eickmann fibre optic cables possess the highest quality and allows the maximum sensing range.
