Variable attenuators for linearly polarized laser beam feature high performance optics (multiple, zero order optically contacted or air-spaced waveplates and thin film brewster types polarizers) are designed for Nd:YAG Laser applications, femtosecond applications and high power femtosecond applications.
Motorized variable attenuators/beamsplitters consist of opto-mechanical adapter and precision opto-mechanical holder and two thin film Brewster type polarizers, which reflect s-polarized light while transmitting p-polarized light. Quartz half-waveplates are housed into a rotating holder.
The intensity ration of s-polarized beam of light and p-polarized beam of light can be continuously varied without alteration of other beam parameters.
