The incremental encoders series REM operate according to the magnetic principle: the rotation of a permanent magnet placed on the encoder shaft generates a sinusoidal magnetic field on 360 degrees. The electronic circuitry provides as output the incremental pulses.
REM encoders offer an excellent resistance to vibrations and shocks, and high protection against environmental agents, characteristics which make them fit for applications in industrial environments with presence of oil or dust, or on plants which must be water/solvent-cleaned.
A further, but not less important, advantage of REM encoders is their excellent price/performance ratio, which allow their use also in those cases where containing costs is a basic requirement.
The incremental encoders REM are available with a pulses/revolution number ranging from 8 to 2048; they can be supplied in bidirectional version, or bidirectional with zero pulse reference, with push-pull or line driver output signals.
Several different mechanical versions are at disposal: round flanged, servo-coupling, standard flange RE0444, square flanged, hollow shaft encoders.
