Electricfor establishes itself as a manufacturer of titanium heating elements for applications in seawater and aggressive liquids. (06/04/2021)
After more than one hundred years of experience in the design and manufacture of heating elements for multiple applications, Electricfor has reached a consolidated position in the production of titanium heating elements suitable for heating all types of waters and aggressive liquids. These are resistors made to work in fluids such as seawater or treatments with chlorine, bromine, ozone, electrophysical or electrochemical.
The immersion electric heaters from the TIM range by Electricfor are made up of Ø8 mm titanium armored tubular elements. These have been insulated with electrofused magnesium oxide and compressed by lamination. They have 1” 1/2 Gas threaded heads, also made of titanium. This material, like all its alloys, offers an excellent response to corrosion in a large number of industrial conditions. Its characteristics under tension at room temperature are very good, and it is resistant to creep failure up to 300°C. But it has some other advantages. Titanium is used in high-performance application's structures because it allows good weight savings by combining its stiffness and toughness with low density.
