Description

Some of the panel-mounted indicators can be manufactured in the cost-efficient housings of the NG-Series. This housing has a compact design so that it provides a lower installation depth than the standard housing. It also provides a 230V AC connector as a reset input. This input is not used for power supply but is used to reset the device on recovering voltage supply. To use this reset input the 230V AC power source must fail during fault condition. Due to the compact housing it is not possible to provide an external power supply like 10V DC or 230V AC power supply. In general the application of the indicators of the NG-Series is similar to their standard counterparts. Type EKL8002NG As a unique NG-Series indicator without standard counterpart the earth-fault and short-circuit indicator type EKL8002NG is available. This indicator is equipped with two relays for separate remote indication of earth-faults and short-circuits. Additionally, this indicator provides a third relay for the remote indication of a low battery status.
