Reminds of regular draught ventilation in case of stale air
Warning levels:
at 1400 ppm CO2 on yellow
from 2000 ppm CO2 on red
from 2500 ppm CO2 on red flashing with alarm tone
Possible applications
Monitoring of open-plan offices, production facilities, workshops, etc.
for all rooms where people spend long periods of time on a regular basis
Reliable reminder for regular draught ventilation
DESCRIPTION
The optical warning device detects increased CO2 levels in indoor spaces where many people regularly spend time. Typically, these are production facilities, workshops, open-plan offices and, in general, all indoor spaces.
1400 ppm CO2 in the room air is already considered "very bad air", the maximum workplace concentration MAK in Germany is 5000 ppm, the CO2 traffic light "factory" therefore reminds with its yellow light from 1400 ppm to extensively ventilate the room.
If you have to breathe bad and stale air all the time, you get tired and lose your ability to perform and concentrate. This is particularly noticeable when learning and working.
The immune system is also weakened, or noticeably strengthened and stabilised when fresh air is always available, which may even be reflected in the number of sick days over the year in open-plan offices, for example.
The only remedy against bad air is regular draught ventilation, which is often and willingly forgotten. This is precisely where the CO2 traffic light comes in. Not only does it issue a warning in the event of a sharp increase in harmful concentrations, it also encourages people to ventilate in good time, even before the warning tone sounds at the highest warning level.
