Description

The KGS 116 cable gas heater control unit interrogates the potential-free normally open contact of a gas heater and converts the change of state of the gas heater into a changeover of the potential-free changeover relay. This system can be used, for example, to switch off a bathroom fan when the gas heater is on. Possible applications Gas boiler in combination with bathroom fan DESCRIPTION Exhaust air systems, such as a bathroom fan, create a negative pressure in the room if not enough air can flow in. As soon as a room-air-dependent combustion appliance (e.g. gas boiler) is in the room, dangerous exhaust gases can be extracted from it and spread in the room. By using the KGS 116 cable extract air control unit, the extract air system can only be used when the combustion system (e.g. gas boiler) is switched off. The control cable is connected to the control unit and the gas boiler. Ideal for retrofitting when a 2-wire control line has already been laid! The KGS 116 can only interrogate normally open contacts. A make contact is closed when the gas boiler is ignited. Why don't I just use a relay? From a purely technical point of view, this would of course be possible, but we have prepared everything for you ready for connection, protect the contact of your gas boiler with low control voltage and have included a cable breakage protection for safety.
