DESCRIPTION
The external CO2 sensor with its own alarm transmitter, status LEDs and test button is optimized as an accessory for the SCHABUS gas warning devices GX-HS and GX-A1+ and is oriented with its warning levels and protection class IP54 to the beverage dispensing system regulation. For use in the catering industry, this NDIR sensor was designed for an alarm threshold of 1.5%vol. CO2 for pre-alarm, 3.0%vol. CO2 for main alarm.
The detected CO2 concentration is passed to the warning device by means of an analog voltage, which can then switch a potential-free changeover relay when the alarm threshold is reached. The sensor, which can also be operated alone on a 5 VDC power supply unit, is supplied with 2.5 meters of cable for connection to the warning center.
The connecting cable of the sensor can be extended. The following minimum cross-sections apply depending on the length of the cable
on the length of the cable:
Cable cross section 3 x 0.75 mm²: maximum length 10 m
Cable cross section 3 x 1.5 mm²: maximum length 20 m
A high-tech membrane is located behind the housing openings to keep water away from the electronics. This means that the sensor is not waterproof, but it is not immediately damaged when water splashes from normal cleaning activities hit the sensor.
