Elmet offers a wide range of tungsten plate and tungsten sheet products in varying thicknesses and lengths. As with all of our materials, our sheet begins as metal powder, is pressed into ingots, sintered, and then rolled. The process enables us to tailor the product to meet specific customer material and/or performance requirements to ensure optimal performance in your application.
TUNGSTEN SHEET SIZES:
Elmet produces Tungsten flat products in thicknesses from 0.060″ to over 1.00″. Tungsten flat material from 0.060″ to 0.090″ in thickness is classified as sheet. Tungsten flat material from 0.10″ and larger is classified as plate. Tungsten sheet is used in a wide variety of applications including in the fabrication of sintering boats, as components in high-temperature furnaces and as heat shields. Please contact us to discuss large quantity demand for sizes thinner than 0.060″.
TUNGSTEN SHEET SURFACE CONDITION
The surface can be supplied in a shiny, matte, satin, or as-rolled condition; dependent upon thickness and width parameters.
TUNGSTEN SHEET HEAT TREATMENT
Molybdenum and Tungsten flat products are rolled and annealed to provide the optimum condition for the desired end use (Furnace, Punch, Deep Draw).
